Inspired by this site, here is my list of favorite internet resources and web applications.

slideshare logo Slideshare is the youtube of presentations! It contains a collection of presentations on a wide array of topics from blogging to leadership to science. It is user-friendly and allows users to post comments and notes on the entire presentation or on specific slides.

basecamplogo-small Basecamp takes a novel approach to project collaboration. It provides useful tools to improve the communication between people working together on a project. It allows free use for ONE project and charges minimal fee for more projects. Try it. It's very easy to use. It's like project management for the dummies!

ideaThe International Debate Education Association (IDEA) develops, organizes and promotes debate and debate-related activities in communities throughout the world. This site contains everything related to debate, from schedules of debate tournaments around the world to a topic database complete with pros and cons arguments. It is such a useful resource for debaters, teachers, adjudicators and even enthusiasts.

world factbook Prepared annually by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for the use of US government agencies, the Factbook contains an almanac-style of all countries of the world, from geography to people to economy to military.
